Technology Lawyer in Hyderabad · A Boutique Law Firm for Life Sciences, Aerospace, Cloud, Gaming and Mobility Tech

Technology Lawyer in Hyderabad

Hyderabad does not run on one kind of technology. It builds Web3, Super Intelligence, cloud infrastructure, games and electric vehicles, often on the same street. We are a boutique law firm for the people building them: few matters, senior attention, and documents written for your sector.

Brief us on what you are building.

Give us the sector, the document or decision in front of you, and the date it matters. A senior advocate will reply with what we would do, how long it takes and a fixed fee. Please do not send confidential files through this form.

What a boutique law firm means for a Hyderabad technology company.

We take a small number of technology mandates and do them properly. That has practical consequences for you.

A dedicated advocate on your matter

The person who reads your documents is the person who advises you. Your matter is not passed down a pyramid.

    Sector fluency, not generic templates

A pharma data-sharing agreement, a defence subcontract and a game studio’s licence are different animals. We write each for the sector it belongs to.

    Fixed fees and defined scope

You get the scope and the price in writing before work starts, and a clear answer on what is outside it.

Your general counsel’s extra pair of hands

Many Hyderabad teams use us alongside an in-house lawyer, for the high-stakes document, the second opinion or the matter that does not fit anyone’s calendar.

The general rules on IP and tech contracts across India are covered by technology lawyers for tech startups, SaaS and AI platforms. Here we stay with Hyderabad.

    01

    Life sciences, pharma-tech and healthtech

    Hyderabad’s science corridor meets software.

    The situation

Hyderabad is known for its pharmaceutical and biotech cluster, and many healthtech and lab-software companies sit beside it. These businesses move through research agreements, licences and data very quickly, and each hand-off is a legal event.

    Mandates we take

    • Research collaboration, data-sharing and material transfer agreements between companies, labs and institutions.
    • Technology and platform licences, including in-licensing from a university and out-licensing to a partner.
    • Contract research and development agreements, with clear ownership of results.
    • Healthtech product terms and the handling of patient and clinical data.
    • Confidentiality arrangements for pre-publication and pre-filing material.

Where health data is involved, we pair this work with our data protection lawyer in India practice. For protection of the inventions themselves, see our patent registration service and our NDA drafting service. Medical-device and drug regulation sits with regulatory specialists, and we tell you when it is needed.

    02

    Aerospace, defence and deep hardware

Contracts for long programmes and tight confidentiality.

    The situation

Hyderabad hosts defence research laboratories, public-sector manufacturers and a growing private aerospace supply chain. Private companies in this world sell to large primes and public bodies, where contracts are long, confidentiality is strict and ownership of technology is a central question.

    Mandates we take

    • Teaming, subcontract and supply agreements with large prime contractors.
    • Technology transfer and licensing, including what you keep when you work on a customer’s programme.
    • Flow-down of obligations, such as confidentiality, quality and audit terms, from prime to supplier.
    • Ownership of designs, tooling and test data between you and your customers.
    • Joint ventures and collaboration structures. Our template for a joint venture agreement is a starting point.

We work on the commercial and IP side. Security clearances, industrial licensing and export controls are for specialists, and we coordinate with them. See also our joint venture agreement template.

    03

Cloud, data centres and enterprise infrastructure

Where uptime promises become legal exposure.

    The situation

Large cloud and data-centre investment has made Hyderabad a base for infrastructure and enterprise-technology companies. If you host, resell or build on that infrastructure, your customer contracts carry promises that your suppliers may not back up.

    Mandates we take

    • Hosting, colocation and managed-service agreements.
    • Service level agreements: how uptime is measured, what credits apply and what is excluded.
    • Reseller and channel agreements for infrastructure and software.
    • Negotiating a hyperscaler or large customer’s standard terms.
    • Back-to-back alignment between what you promise customers and what suppliers promise you.

Start with our service level agreement guide and our data processing agreement template. For the customer-data side, see our data protection lawyer in India page.

    04

    Gaming, animation and media technology

    Studios, engines, players and platforms.

    The situation

Hyderabad has game studios and animation and visual-effects houses alongside its software industry. For them the product is intellectual property, and it is made by many hands: staff, freelancers, outsourced studios and engine and asset vendors.

    Mandates we take

    • Work-for-hire, outsourcing and co-development agreements between studios and publishers.
    • Licences for game engines, middleware, music and art assets, and who owns what is made with them.
    • Player terms, end-user licences and in-game purchase terms. See our end-user licence agreement template.
    • Creator and talent agreements, including credit and reuse rights.
    • An early check on whether a game’s monetisation falls inside or outside India’s restrictions on real-money gaming.

Start from our end-user licence agreement template and our IP assignment guide.

    05

    Electric mobility, drones and robotics

Hardware that moves, and the liability that comes with it.

    The situation

Electric vehicles, batteries, drones and robots are built by small Hyderabad teams working with manufacturers and component suppliers. Products that move through the physical world raise questions that pure software never does.

    Mandates we take

    • Contract manufacturing and component supply agreements.
    • Warranty, safety and product-liability allocation between you, your suppliers and your customers.
    • Embedded software and firmware licensing, and who owns the code your hardware runs.
    • Pilot, trial and pilot-to-purchase agreements with customers and public bodies.
    • Operating-permission questions for drones and similar products, which we flag and hand to the right specialist.

See our software licensing guide and the software development agreement template.

    How a mandate runs

Three formats, all with a written scope and fixed fee.

    The single document

One contract, licence or agreement drafted or negotiated end to end. Best when a deal or a launch has a date on it.

    The second opinion

A dedicated lawyer read of a document or structure you already have, with the points that matter marked clearly. Useful alongside an in-house lawyer.

    The standing arrangement

A monthly plan for companies that want one advocate who knows the business. See legal retainership in India.

    Questions Hyderabad technology companies ask

What do you mean by a boutique law firm?
A firm that takes fewer matters and gives each one senior attention, rather than staffing many matters with a large team. For you, that means the advocate who advises you also reads and drafts your documents, and fees are agreed in advance.
Do you work on pharma and life-science agreements?
Yes, on the contract and IP side: research collaborations, data and material sharing, licences and contract research and development. Drug and device regulation is for regulatory specialists, and we tell you when you need one.
Can you help a private company working with a defence or aerospace prime?
On the commercial terms and IP, yes. That includes subcontracts, teaming agreements, technology transfer and the flow-down of confidentiality and quality obligations. Security clearances and export matters are outside our advice.
We host customers’ data. Which of your pages should we read first?
Start with the service level agreement guide for uptime terms, then our data protection lawyer in India page for personal data. A data-centre or cloud customer’s contract usually needs both.
Does a game studio need to worry about India’s online-gaming restrictions?
If a game takes money from players and pays out money or value on chance or skill outcomes, yes. That needs an early look before launch because the restrictions are significant. Games without real-money stakes face different issues, mainly IP and player terms.
Is this the same as your Hyderabad contract lawyers or start-up pages?
No. Those pages cover everyday contracts and start-up formation in the city. This page covers technology sectors specific to Hyderabad. See contract lawyers in Hyderabad and startup and company lawyers in Hyderabad for those.
